Good Deed Dating is a new program from ChristianMingle that aims to
help singles do some good for their community, while meeting a few
Good Samaritan matches at the same time!

On Saturday, October 25th,, Echo Ministires and Atlanta Community Food Bank are joining forces to host a charitable event while cultivating a soul-stirring social experience for Christian singles in greater Atlanta. Put your faith in action by volunteering with us to provide healthful food options that will meet the nutritional needs of hundreds of thousands of Atlanta children, families and seniors in need of food assistance.

    What ACFB Does
Founded in 1979, ACFB procures over 45 million pounds of food and groceries each year and distributes it to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies serving families and individuals in 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties.

    Who ACFB Serves
Food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters, and senior centers are among the agencies that receive product from ACFB. In turn, these partner agencies provide food and other critical resources for low-income Georgians who suffer from hunger and food insecurity.

    How ACFB Works
ACFB utilizes more than 1,000 volunteers a month, over 100 staff members, a large fleet of trucks and a 129,000 square-foot facility to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. ACFB's donors include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, restaurants, food drives, gardens and individuals. The product is easily accessed by the Food Bank's partner agencies. They place their orders online and arrange for pick up or delivery. Once the food arrives at the agency, it is provided to families and individuals in need. See product flow infographic.

It Starts With Food, but it Doesn’t Stop There.
The mission of Atlanta Community Food Bank is to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering our community. While ACFB's core work is food distribution, efforts extend far beyond that. Their mission is lived out every day through seven projects that help engage, educate and empower both people in need and those who want to help. From supporting community gardens to assisting people in finding economic security, ACFB covers a wide range of opportunities for people to learn and get involved. ACFB's seven projects are Atlanta Prosperity Campaign, Atlanta’s Table, Community Gardens, Hunger 101, Hunger Walk/Run, Kids In Need and Product Rescue Center. Learn more about ACFB’s seven community projects.

    About Echo Ministries

Echo Ministries is a non-denominational Christian singles ministry in Atlanta Georgia. Their mission is to create community for single adults to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. They do that by offering opportunities for singles to connect with Jesus Christ and one another through relevant, Christ-centered events that center around three areas of ministry: Fellowship, Spiritual Growth and Outreach.

Many single adults truly desire to grow spiritually. They want to live out the Christian lifestyle they believe in and develop a deeper intimacy with their creator. Echo's goal is to challenge, encourage, and equip them to do it through programs and activities that many churches may not have the resources to provide. All of which serve to foster a genuine connection to the Body of Christ, and encourage singles to live their lives for God's kingdom and for His glory.
